About this event

Our Midwifery Taster Day is designed to inspire and support Year 12 students interested in pursuing careers in Midwifery.

This event will be taking place between March and April

Students will have the opportunity to meet our academics, who will bring their courses to life. They will also get the chance to speak to our current students and have a tour of our campus and clinical skills facilities. Finally, students will hear from our admissions staff, who will go through the application process and why students should choose to study at the University of Leeds.

Who are these events for?

Our Midwifery taster days are suitable for Year 12/1st year college students studying on one of the following routes, and who are interested in a career in Health and Social Care:

  • at least one Science A Level (biology, human biology, chemistry, physics, applied science, or psychology)
  • a Health and Social Care or Applied Science BTEC, CTEC or CACHE diploma
  • T Level Healthcare

What are the eligibility criteria?

Our Midwifery Taster Day is open to current Year 12 / first year college students who have a genuine interest in applying to study health-related courses at university. We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity to students from all backgrounds, recognising that some groups are under-represented on university courses and in certain health careers.
