Talks and Workshops

Our free talks and workshops are designed to inspire students to pursue a career in healthcare.

Available throughout the year, our outreach practitioners and undergraduate ambassadors deliver talks and workshops to schools and colleges across the country, to support applicants throughout the admissions process, raise awareness of higher education and share our students’ experiences whilst at Leeds and their journey to Higher Education.

These talks are designed to inspire your students to study a medicine, dentistry, healthcare or psychology discipline at University, and understand the benefits and challenges it brings.

We offer talks and workshops in person to schools within 1 hour of the university by public transport, and online nationally. Talks and workshops support applicants considering the following subject areas:

  • Dentistry
  • Healthcare
  • Medicine
  • Psychology

Our talks and workshops are free of charge to schools and colleges requesting a talk. Talks are flexible and can last between 30 minutes (such as an assembly) and 1 hour (such as an interactive classroom session) and can be booked for a minimum of 15 students. Priority will be given to schools and colleges in an area of low progression to higher education.

Please note that we require at least 2 weeks notice to make the necessary arrangements for a talk to take place. They are also subject to our staff and ambassador availability.
