About this event

Our Health and Social Care Taster Days are designed to introduce students to HE study and a number of healthcare professions and address stereotypes students may have regarding a career in healthcare.

The day will include academic taster sessions (delivered by academic colleagues or current students), as well as a campus tour and general HE advice and information. There will also be the opportunity for students to talk to our current undergraduates about their experiences.

The academic content of the day will focus around programmes from the School of Healthcare at Leeds, which includes:

  • Adult Nursing
  • Child Nursing
  • Mental Health Nursing
  • Midwifery
  • Social Work

Lunch will be provided in our Students' Union, with students and staff provided with a voucher for £7 to be used in the Refectory, our main catering outlet at the University.
