Our Pre-16 Dental Taster Day aims to bring the world of oral health to life. Through introductory taster sessions ranging from filling cavities to learning about the anatomy of the mouth, students will discover the background to a wide range of Dental careers that can be studied at the University of Leeds whilst having a tour of our world class campus and finding out about the many benefits of higher education.
About the day
This Taster Day will introduce students to the wide range of dental professions and career opportunities available through continuing into Higher Education. Touching on the academic requirements to study these courses, the day puts an emphasis on developing both academic and transferable skills that are needed to succeed in a dental career. Through hands on taster sessions and mini-lectures, students will learn more about the benefits of Higher Education and pursuing a career in Dentistry. They will also get the chance to look around the University of Leeds campus and ask questions of our current undergraduate students. Lunch is provided on the day at our student Refectory.
